Usanii Mashariki Gallery( U.M) : Art, Culture & Weekend Vibes in Karen

Forget the stuffy, “don’t get too close” art galleries of school trips. We found a spot in Karen that’s serving major creative energy, and your feed is about to thank you.

Painting at U&M Gallery (Usanii Mashariki Gallery) in Karen, hidden inside The Waterfront Mall;  was such a wholesome experience. The aesthetic here is unreal: contemporary pieces and local crafts that are totally gram-worthy, all set up more like an “inspirational stroll” than a silent museum. The staff were honestly so warm; we even broke a bottle and they told us not to pay for it. Since it was for charity, we still bought another one.

The Vibe Check:

Art, but make it a mood. The atmosphere is pure chill , perfect for a weekend reset or that cute date you’ve been planning. Immaculate vibes, top-tier ‘gram content. Go touch some culture (and get the pic).

The Weekend Offer:

Saturdays are the move,  entry is just 200 KES (usually 500 KES). A full dose of culture that won’t kill your wallet. 10/10 for accessibility and vibes. We stan.

The Icing on the Canvas:

On some weekends you’ll get bonus content,  interactive sessions, live demos, or refreshments. Little extras that turn a quick visit into an actual memory.

Hours:

Thursday–Sunday, 10am–7pm. A calm spot if you’re looking for something creative to do in Nairobi.

Overall Rating: 9/10
